сделай chmod 777 и проверь, что будет на этот раз.
При umask 022 после разворачивания 1.txt будет иметь права 755, если umask
"стрельнул", и 777 -- если нет.
К вопросу о пэкэджах... обсуждали тут несколько дней, а вопрос решается за пять
минут:
[timon@cachex add]$ pwd; grep -i umask *
/usr/src/usr.sbin/pkg_install/add
main.c: /* Set a reasonable umask */
main.c: umask(022);
