Вот сегодня получил ответ Hi/Fn на мой вопрос месячной давности по
поводу MPPC:
Hifn is selling licenses to customers who want to use our MPPC
compression technology. Under this license we provide our customers with
the full Ansi-C source code.
Because MPPC is OS independent, customers can easily implement our MPPC
library with their application.
The MPPC license agreement prohibits customers to disclosure the source
code.
We believe that your open source , FreeBSD implementation plans will
violate our licensing term.
Hifn sells MPPC, so making it part of a GPL is not in the interest of
our company nor of our licensee.
We would be more than happy to license MPPC to any customer, as long
as he does not breach our license agreement.
Потому счастье будет лмбо за деньги, либо сотворенное своими руками,
наплевав на патенты Hi/Fn.
