Well, this latest problem appears to be related to mod_perl plus
5.6.0, so
its not clear where to lay the blame.
The main bugs I've found (or heard of) that bother me are:
1. bugs in caller() - it can trigger a weird error (Bizarre copy
of ARRAY
at line X) and returns incorrect info for certain return vals (I
think
the eval return val).
2. a bug where a scalar used as a number ( $x = 2 ), then a
string ( $x =
"10" ) and then used as a scalar can return its numeric value.
I can't
reproduce this right this moment but you can find it in the p5p
archives
or the perlbug database.

That's a bug in CPAN.pm. Explicitly install a new CPAN.pm and

I myself would like to upgrade. There's some nice features (use
warnings)
but I'm waiting until 5.6.1. As far as Mason goes, I think that
inasmuch
as is practical, we'd like it to work under 5.6.0. However,
some things
will just blow up (attempting to give a stack trace via confess,
for
example) and there ain't nothing we can do.
