 тут с planet debian в фиде подчерпнул:
 
 Hype: Quod Libet is a music library manager and player designed around
 search queries, either as simple substrings or a more powerful regular
 expression syntax. It supports MP3 and Ogg. Like other new audio players, it
 relies on your audio collection having sane metadata tags. Unlike them, it
 does not limit you to the tags the author of the program thought were
 important, nor to only one value per tag (on other words, it supports Ogg
 the way it was meant to be). It is also capable of displaying album cover
 images.

 интерфейс конечно не особо доделанный, но правильные идеи есть :)
